I currently head up Research & Partnerships at Outlier Ventures, Europe’s first dedicated blockchain venture builder. Previously, I developed Frost & Sullivan’s Game Changers research which explored the impact of emerging technologies across industries including artificial intelligence, blockchains, drones, the Internet of Things, 3D printing and augmented and virtual reality.
Broadly, I’m interested in how these emerging technologies are changing political and economic governance structures. I see AI and blockchains as foundational technologies driving exponential disruption across industries and markets. New businesses will achieve unparalleled scale and efficiencies as connected devices like drones, 3D printers, and mobile robots collect data; blockchains secure, share and transact the data and assets; and artificially intelligent applications automate business functions and ultimately whole businesses with AI distributed autonomous organisations (DAOs).
I’m back in London after working in Ho Chi Minh City for the best part of 2015. I am now exploring the startup communities in Europe, most recently Berlin, Paris, Lisbon and Oslo. Previously, I visited a few startup hubs in Asia like Shanghai, Bangkok and Saigon. I used to make regular TV appearances on Bloomberg and CNBC discussing the mobile industry. I have also been quoted by the BBC, The Economist, and the Wall Street Journal.
